Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to yourfinancedoc.com (“the Site”), operated by Tan Choon Xin, a Licensed Financial Planner at FA Advisory Sdn. Bhd. (formerly Uniplan Advisory Sdn. Bhd.; Company Reg. No. 200901022427 / 865525-W). We handle the personal data you submit through this Site in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), as amended.
Scope: This notice covers personal data collected through this website. When you engage us as a client for financial advisory or planning services provided through FA Advisory Sdn. Bhd., additional personal data (including Sensitive Personal Data) is processed under FA Advisory’s full PDPA Notice — see Section 10.
2. What We Collect
- Enquiry data (via our forms): full name, email, mobile number, occupation & company, annual income range, preferred contact time, and any consultation details you write.
- Account & course data (if you register): login details and course progress.
- Communication data: messages you send us via WhatsApp or email.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device info, and pages visited, via cookies and Google Analytics.
We do not collect your IC number, address, or full card details on this website.
3. Why We Collect It
To respond to your enquiries and provide the financial planning services you request; to manage course/account access; to process any payments; to send information you opted in to receive; to improve the site; and to meet our legal and BNM/SC regulatory obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who We Share It With
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the site — our web host, form/CRM tool (Fluent Forms, stored on our site), WhatsApp (Meta), and Google Analytics (GA4, via Google Site Kit). Embedded YouTube videos may set cookies when played. We may also disclose data where required by law or by our BNM/SC obligations. No third-party marketing.
Cross-border transfers
Some of these tools (e.g. WhatsApp/Meta, YouTube/Google, Google Analytics) may process data outside Malaysia. We only use providers that offer protection comparable to the PDPA, or where you have consented by using the service.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose above. Where you become a client, we retain client records for 7 years in line with the record-keeping period required of licensed advisors under BNM/SC rules. Enquiry-only submissions that do not proceed are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
6. How We Protect It
We use reasonable measures — HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and reputable service providers — to protect your data against loss or unauthorised access.
7. Your Rights
Under the PDPA you may: access and correct your data; withdraw consent; limit how we process it (including for direct marketing); and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner. We may verify your identity first, and access requests may be subject to a prescribed fee and reasonable processing time. To exercise these, contact us (Section 10).
8. Cookies
We use cookies for site performance (caching) and analytics (Google Analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children
Our services are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
